Community-wide "Souper Bowl
of Caring" Party -- Come watch the game with us on a
big-screen TV! Cokesbury UMC is hosting a SuperBowl party for the community
starting at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 7. We will also have a free chili
supper with all the trimmings. For those not interested in
football, stop by for bingo (18 and older) and other games.
Activities will be provided for children ages 4 and up; (children
3 and under are their parents' responsibility). There will also be
a door-prize raffle for ages 18 and older. The event is tied into
the "Souper Bowl of Caring" program, so please bring a
can of food or donation to relieve hunger in our area.

Call to Prayer and Self-Denial Day March 6
-- Between now and March 6, we will "deny" ourselves items like a soft
drink or a lunch or dinner, and put aside the money that item would have cost.
On March 6, we will donate these funds in a special day of prayer for all church
members. The money will go toward people in need. |
